The 2012 recipient of the 2012 BCFCU Pioneer of the Year was Hoyt L. Ragans. During his tenure as President of BCFCU, Mr. Ragans led the credit union to solid, steady growth. He was the first fulltime employee of the credit union. When he began his employment assets were $198,000 and membership was 590. When Mr. Ragans retired from the credit union in 1987, assets were $28,103,155 and membership was 5,171. Some accomplishments under his leadership were: KwikKash Line of credit Construction of new mill office Travelers Checks & Money Order Program Installation of the first on-line computer system Established the Share Draft Program Established the Mortgage Program Established the IRA Program Just to name a few. Thanks and gratitude go to a well deserving BCFCU Pioneer. President Charlton L. Knowles is shown at left presenting a placque to Mr. Ragans. |
| The 2012 BCFCU Community Minded Member of the Year award went to David S. Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan has been a member of BCFCU since 1987. He has many community accomplishments over the years as a local business owner of The Roach Coach. Mr. Sullivan is an active member of the Blue Lodge Masons, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Marzuq Temple. He is a 25 year member of the Perry Chamber of Commerce, where he has served in many capacities including chairman in 2011. David has served as the Perry Soccer Association president, coached the TCMS boys soccer team, ceritified as Florida Soccer Referee. He has also served his church faithfully over these years as deacon, church council member, many committees, choir member, etc. |
